What is Reiki?
The act of laying hands on a human or animal body to comfort and relieve pain is a natural instinct that dates back to the beginning of time. When we lay our hands on another person or animal it is a way of conveying love and and letting them know we care.  Reiki is an ancient and profoundly simple system of "laying on of hands" healing technique that derived from Tibetan Buddhism. A Reiki Healer is one who has received a series of attunements which aligns them with 'Universal Light' or 'Life force Energy' that healing light is called upon in a Reiki healing session and delivered through the Reiki practitioners hands to their client. The client receiving the healing may feel warmth or heat, tingling, cold, see colors or flashes of light and other energy sensations. Most of Dawn Marie's clients feel an overall sense of deep relaxation and as if they floated off or journeyed somewhere else. Reiki can be used to help with many different body aliments, disease and is extremely useful for clearing old emotional holding patterns and psychological disorders.  Reiki increases the Life Force Energy and helps realign your charkas bringing peace, calm, and serenity to your Mind, Body, and Spirit. When I came to Dawn last year, I was in a bad way, I have chronic back pain, and I work with my hands, so I can feel pretty beat up some days. After working with Dawn, I feel better than I've felt in years. Anyone can learn the techniques, but Dawn has a healing touch that is so rare. Not only that, she's sweet with a great sense of humor and I just love being around her. I can't recommend her enough, she's the best!
